The kids have been back to school for a while now and they are getting tired of the same old thing for lunch.  They normally take sandwiches or pack something like Chef Boyardee.  Time to change it up a bit.  Each week I’ll be posting a new idea for lunches that should be healthier and cheaper than the typical school lunch.

This week we are going meatless!  On the menu is hummus, tortilla chips, banana or apple, Clif Bar and water. Doesn’t that sound yummy?

I have made hummus home-made and it is quite easy, however I bought the single serve Sabra brand for convenience this time.

Anyone have any yummy lunch ideas?
